Breakfast with that view was one I will never forget (If you follow me on Instagram you'll know I love my breakfasts).
We spent most of the day sat by the pool, roasting in the sunshine and trying to imprint that vista on our memories.
By late afternoon the road was calling and it was time to head for Aosta, trading lakeside views for snowcapped mountains. Every day has been a completely different holiday, it's like nothing I have ever done before. Every day waking up in a new bed, with a new view and a new feeling needing to be explored, and in every one of those days we have done something that would have been the highlight of every other holiday. It's been the most surreal experience and I'm loving every minute.
Aosta looked like a painting on the front of a Swizz chocolate box, and I expected a cuckoo to spring out of every clock.
Our hotel was beautiful, I can imagine it's the perfect ski retreat in the winter. We had a magnificent meal in the restaurant and have just collapsed into bed, it's hard work all this lying the sun and then being driven across a mountain range you know ...
